Shanghai Construction Commission visited
the Hamburg Solar Building Exhibition
 
 
Four members of the Shanghai Construction Commission visited the Hamburg Solar Exhibition at the invitation of Prof. Joachim Malecki, first Construction Director of the Hamburg Ministry of Construction and Environment.
 
 
This travel occurred in the frame of the Hamburg- Shanghai sister-city partnership project, ecobuild shanghai 2006. The Shanghai Construction Commission is the project partner and implantation body on the Shanghai side.
 
 
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Peter Friemert, General Manager of the Hamburg based ZEBAU Shanghai Bauausstellungsgesellschaft mbH and accompanied by Dr. Roland Winkler, coordinator for ZEBAU in Shanghai, as well as by Ms. Magali Menant, from the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Shanghai.
 
 
On June 6th, 2005, Mr. Wu Jiting, Mr. Zhao Jun, Mr. Yang Zhijie and Mr. Li Wei were guided through the 2 sites of the exhibition in Hamburg, Heimfeld and Wilhemsburg, as well as to Hamburg’s key urban planning project, the Hafen City. The Shanghai delegation was informed about the latest energy efficient design systems in Germany, as well as innovative urban planning concepts.
 
 
On June 8th, 2005, the Shanghai Construction representatives continued to Berlin, where they were shown the Solar Building Exhibition site running in parallel to the Hamburg Project. In Berlin, the Solar Building Exhibition exposes various architectural versions of one-family houses, whereas the Hamburg project included town houses and appartement buildings.
 
 
The visits were to enable the project partners of ecobuild shanghai 2006 to kick off the activities in Shanghai based on the Hamburg and Berlin examples and experiences.
