Prof. Joachim Malecki,
First Construction Director of the
Ministry of Construction and Environment
in Hamburg and Peter Friemert, General
Manager of the ZEBAU Shanghai Bauausstellungsgesellschaft
mbH, visited Shanghai from September
6th till September 12th. The aim of
the visit was to step up the development
of ecobuild
shanghai 2006. |

The result of this
stay was very satisfying, as it included
the signature of the cooperation contracts
with the various developers of
ecobuild shanghai 2006. |

The official signing
ceremony of the ecobuild cooperation
contracts on Friday 9th September
was opened by Mr. Wang Baohai, director
of the Office for Building Energy
Efficient of the Shanghai Construction
Commission. The developers of the
five projects are already under the
umbrella of ecobuild
shanghai 2006, namely, Pudong
Ecological Building Exchange Center,
Pujiang Intelligence Valley Administrative
Building, Chongming Dongtan Eco Farm,
Qingpu Haiyuan Villas and Anting New
Town, have signed the cooperation
agreement with the ZEBAU Shanghai
Bauausstellungsgesselschaft mbH for
the implementation of the ecobuild
energy efficiency criteria in their
respective projects. |

In accordance with
the contracts, the developers will
be provided assistance and technical
guidance during their planning and
construction phases from experts from
Hamburg. All the buildings shall be
designed to save 75% of energy compared
to the average consumption in Shanghai.
The developers furthermore agree to
receive quality control and evaluation
and certification, and to open their
buildings for the exhibition in November
2006. |
