A first series of technical workshops
with the Chinese developers from ecobuild
shanghai 2006 has been organized
from July 4th to July 9th in Shanghai.
|
| |
|
| |
The ecobuild
shanghai 2006 project provides
the involved Chinese developers with
technical assistance from Hamburg experts
during the design, planning and construction
phases. This includes design and construction
planning consultation, technical training,
quality control, evaluation and certification.
The German architect and energy efficient
building expert Thomas Dittert conducted
technical sessions laying the foundations
for quality control during the design
and construction planning phases. |

| |
Thomas Dittert, accompanied by the
ecobuild coordinator in Shanghai, Dr.
Roland Winkler, met with the developer
Chongming Dongtan and the investors
for the project on Wednesday 5th and
Thursday 7th July. During the workshops,
Mr. Ulf Rakelmann from the Hamburg Public
Sewage Company presented in detail its
infrastructure proposal for the island
eastern part, Dongtan. This consists
of a complete system for energy and
water management based on circular economy
concepts. The counterparts are looking
forward to implementing such a system
on Chongming Island, which has been
chosen by the Shanghai Municipality
as a key area for environmental protection.

The next days followed meetings with
the developers Penxin Group and Anting
New Town, to which the German companies
Warema and Roth Werke, industry partners
of ecobuild
shanghai 2006, participated.
The objective is to provide opportunities
for German companies to network and
create contacts with the various developers,
architecture offices and design institutes
of the project. |
