Thomas Dittert, expert in Energy Efficient Building from Dittert & Reumschuessel Hamburg and architect of the European Solar Exhibition, as well as Prof. Xu Jihuan from Shanghai Pacific Energy Center, a local expert associated to ecobuild, have provided advise on energy efficiency. Prof. Robert Meierhans from Indoor Climate Concepts GmbH, Zuerich, CABR Beijing, joined from Beijing, where he advises the central government on energy efficiency policy for buildings.

During the week a lecture from Thomas Dittert and Prof. Robert Meierhans has been held at the Shanghai University. It was well received by the students, interested in the development of concepts for ecological building. The Shanghai university is at the moment planning a project financed by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission on Chongming Island, where various concepts and technologies for energy efficiency will be integrated.

Next technical workshops in the frame of ecobuild will occur in the first quarter of next year, for the follow up on this consultation and further quality control.
