News November 2005     two new projects join ecobuild shanghai 2006     Two new projects have been added under the ecobuild umbrella. The signature ceremony took place during the visit of Dr. Herlind Gundelach, on Friday 11th November. These projects complete the ecobuild wide range of projects, especially with the addition of an industry area to the existing residential and commercial building types.       Shanghai Jiande Development Ltd, a developer involved in the construction of many high standard villas areas has signed a contract with the ecobuild shanghai 2006 for the integration of an ecofarm project on Chongming Island, with the name of Baodao Jiande Ecofarm. The built area should be approximately of 3000 sqm. The planned investment if about 30 Mio. RMB.         signing ceremony with the developer of Jiande       The second project added to the ecobuild is the Jinshan industry zone. The administration commission of the Jinshan in Shanghai plans an industry zone development of 58 skm, with an industry usage of 41 skm and residential areas of about 17 skm. The master plan has been developed by the internationally reputed firm Yulang Consulting Co. from Singapore, and focuses on a very detailed planning for water, groundwater, drinking water, energy supply, rain water and wastewater management, gas supply, and telecommunication.       The Jinshan government has committed itself to develop an area in the industry park dedicated to the production of innovative materials. This shall attract energy efficient, innovative, environmentally friendly building material producers. A detailed master plan/ urban development for an area of 2 skm encompassing the ideas of energy efficient building will be developed under the ecobuild project with requirements on energy efficiency and ecology.
