are not allowed to be sold in Guanghzou,
and could be fined up to RMB 200,000
in violation of the regulations. |

Construction Commission of Guangzhou
had submitted the “Regulation
of Construction in Guangzhou (Draft)”
to CPPCC recently. In the future, Guangzhou
will emphasis on measures for enforcement
of energy efficient regulations. |

According to the new regulation, the
energy-efficient construction logo certification
system will be introduced; new energy-efficient
building construction must obtain certification
before starting sales. |

The Housing Department will not permit
to release sales permits without certification.
Multi-storey buildings, hotels and public
buildings, hospitals, student hostels
and other buildings must use at least
one renewable energy. In high-grade
villas, high-grade office building,
the use of renewable energy should be
a priority as well. In the development
of residential area, the construction
should focus on the use of solar water
heating technology. |
