In 2006, on its 20th anniversary,
the city partnership between Hamburg
and Shanghai is as active as ever. The
participation of the HSE at the international
environmental protection fair IFAT-China
in Shanghai at the end of June was another
contribution to it. The IFAT China is
the Asian reflection of the IFAT Europe,
which takes place in Germany every three
years. |
| |
|
| |
Already in the year 2004 the HSE had
come to this fair in Shanghai. This
year again, now as an enterprise of
the new formed local enterprise Hamburg-Water-Group,
HW, to which Hamburg water works (Hamburger
Wasserwerke) and the Hamburg Public
Sewage Company as independent enterprises
still belong. The wise concentration
of specialized authorities is now completed
with the formation of the largest German
local enterprise in the water industry.
|
| |
|
| |
HSE was represented on the German
pavilion as an expert for water management,
responsible for urban drainage systems
in the Metropolitan region of Hamburg
with more than 160 years experience.
|
| |
|
| |
With the available, comprehensive
experiences from the past within the
range of planning, building, enterprise,
maintenance and renewal, the HSE presented
itself on the IFAT as advisor for innovative
urban water infrastructure systems.
Central topics were energy questions,
to which HSE was frequently consulted
and to those Hamburg can demonstrate
ecologically and economically solutions.
|
| |
|
| |
HSE presented guidelines for Circular-Material-Flow-Management
including the innovative and sustainable
Water-Infrastructure-Systems and energy
saving technologies. In the context
of ecobuild 2006, the HSE conceives
at present such a water maintenance
and disposal infrastructure as a model
project for a settlement on the island
Chongming. |
| |
|
| |
Participation to the trade fair proved
a high interest in solutions from HSE,
as energy and water issues are of growing
concern to Chinese municipalities like
Shanghai. Its experience in Hamburg
as well as through the various projects
conducted in China draw attention of
project developers. |
