Open doors in ecobuild projects

On November 10, ecobuild opened four of its 9 projects to visit: the open doors in the Hongkou, Putuo, Anting and Minhang districts lasted for 4 weeks, where interested professionals as well as the general public could visit the various demonstration items.

The Honkou renovation project, a multifunctional administration building from the mid 80s, has been renovated with PU insulation foam and energy efficient PVC windows. BASF has been involved with supplying the raw materials for insulation.

The two energy efficient villas planned by the German architecture office Dittert and Reumschuessel are to be seen under construction. Located in the famous German new town of Anting, these villas will include energy efficient windows, external insulation systems, solar water heaters, activated floor heating and cooling systems to achieve a high energy efficiency.

The first ecobuild project to be completed includes various energy efficient technologies: most impressive for the visitors is always the roof garden, but also the very natural surroundings of this office building, located an R&D zone in Minhang district. One can appreciate the indoor comfort, where cooling and heating is provided by the geothermal energy system.

The Zhonghuan residential high-rise complex integrates over 50 German products! Visitors can notice the high quality of the construction, enabled by a thourough quality control during the construction process as well as training of the construction professionals on site.
