On April 8th, the Jinshan government
invited ecobuild
representatives, Prof. Joachim Malecki,
first Construction Director of the Hamburg
Ministry for Urban Planning and Environment,
Peter Friemert, ecobuild
coordinator in Hamburg and Magali Menant,
ecobuild
Marketing Manager, for a visit of the
Jinshan district. Mrs. Li, vice governor
of the Jinshan district provided the
hosts with an overview of this last
large area to be developed in Shanghai.

The afternoon included the presentation
of the Jinshan industry park, where
an area of 2 skm dedicated to energy
efficient, environmentally friendly,
building materials production, participating
to the ecobuild initiative, is located. |

The Jinshan government looks at developing
a sustainable industry park, incorporating
concepts for sustainable building construction,
water and energy management as well
as ecological building. |
